It's about having fun while you exercise and connect with yourself. There are more than 10 kms of descent and ascent to get to the "Mesa de Los Santos", old habitat of the Guane Indians, nowadays the town of Los Santos.
This charming municipality still preserves many of the caves with pictograms created by the native indigineous. Just be sure to photograph the giant chicamocha canyon, the second longest in the world as you ascend from Jordan. This captivating stone road is part of the network of royal roads, rebuilt by the German Geo Von Lengerke after the time of the colony in Colombia. You will practically and literally be walking through the first highways of Colombia, which helped the development of the economy during those times.
ITINERARY 2 Days:
Day 1;
we will hike 9 kms from Barichara to Villanueva. There, we will refresh ourselves and have a snack. 3o mnts later, we will continue our hike to the town of Jordan. we will continue our hike to the bottom of the Chicamoha Canyon. There, we will have the opportunity to spend the rest of the day at one of the two confortable ecolodges, with pools and hammocks, located there called Shangri - la.
Day 2
We will get up around 5 am, have breakfast and begin our final hike. We will go up to Lo Santos, ascending 5.8 kms on an ancient road. Once we get to the town of Los Santos, we will have a snack while we rest and then head out to see some pictogramas, this is a 30 mnts hike around the town of los santos. then we will head back to Barichara in a private car.
