Are you ready for a hiking adventure through the mountains of Santander?. If so, Let me guide you through one of Colombia's many ancient roads: "The Royal Road or Lengerke road to Cabrera", built more than 600 years ago by the Guane Indians and then restored after the time of the Spanish colony.

Enjoy the spectacular view of the Andes mountains on the nearby horizon while taking a break in one of the  two refreshing waterfalls that paint the landscape of the  road to Cabrera, and have your cammera ready to shoot at the many species of birds that live in the department of Santander, their colors will enchant you.

Meet up with your guide for the day at the agreed place and set your sights on delighting  in the bountiful sunshine. Listen to the guide narrate how this indian tribe Created the roads,  which were later restored and how these roads change the economy of the country during the coming times.

Keep your eyes peeled for marine fossils as you walk toward the town called Cabrera, a beautiful municipality, with beautiful tourist attractions such as its colonial buildings, waterfalls and the immaculate church of Cabrera. Here, the tourists can do some window shopping in the charming town. Don't forget your bathing suit and jump in the warm waterfall (if the weather and water conditions allows).
